This week, we've been enjoying the new iPads in Year 6, reviewing the apps as part of our Computing topic. The Eco-Team presented a topical assembly this morning led by the Year 6 representatives. It was both factual and engaging - they even had a giant penguin with them! We have had a super start to the year. I wish you all a restful break and look forward to next half-term.

Year 6 had a wonderful day out in London, visiting the Globe Theatre. We learnt lots about the Elizabethan period, looked upon the magnificent stage from different tiers and experienced Shakespearean language whilst acting out scenes from ‘MACBETH’. We will be unpicking the play further in class next week.

We had a very musical Friday as we sang along with 2M in their lovely assembly; A. played ‘Happy Birthday’ on the piano for one of our teachers, and then Year 6 children created chords in Music. The creative flair continued in ICT as the children put on their ‘thinking caps’ and shared their ingenious ideas for the creation of new apps. We will be building upon this work next lesson.
We are very excited about our trip to the Globe Theatre this week and will be reading Shakespeare’s ‘MACBETH’ in preparation for the visit.
