Week 4 Update

Another week has flown by!  The Tring Park performance was inspirational and we are looking forward to starting our first dance class on Tuesday. On Wednesday we will be marking National Poetry Day by writing our own poems on this year’s theme: ‘Remember’.  Watch out, Year 6 – the weather may be ignoring them but negative numbers will be making an appearance in Maths this week…

A new school year...

Year 6 has had a very busy start to the new school year! Last week we celebrated the school’s 50th Anniversary with Bishop John Sherrington. This week we led Friday’s ‘Jeans for Genes Day’ assembly. Thank you to all parents who joined in on Friday, giving us ‘a twirl’ in their jeans! We enjoyed the day and raised money to help others in the process. On Friday afternoon, Years 5 & 6 sang ‘From a Distance’ beautifully at the Methodist Church during the ‘Peace Day Service’.
Next week, we look forward to a visit from Tring Park School pupils. In English, we will be writing about our special memories. The children can bring in items that trigger those memories, e.g. photographs.

Pictures of the last few weeks will be posted shortly…
