We hope you enjoyed our production last week. We think we rocked!
It has been a wonderful day for us all at St. Dominic School. The morning started with an assembly as it normally does. Mrs O’Brien was taking the lead, until confident Year 6 took over to present her with her own ‘Golden Moments’!
At the end of break, everyone assembled on the KS2 playground. But then music started to play… And the whole school performed a liturgical dance around Mrs O’Brien. It was a beautiful – and very emotional – moment.
We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed some delicious cake.
The day ended with our final assembly. Year 6 shared their happy memories which was lovely. Once again, confident Year 6 children took control of the assembly, showing a powerpoint celebrating all the things Mrs O’Brien has brought to the school over the years. Then, each class presented her with cards. Year 6 shared a lovely poem they’d written, and presented her with a Blue Peter emblem.
The tradition of the balloons followed…
We’ve shared a wonderful year and whilst we will miss the children and Mrs O’Brien, we wish them every happiness as they start a new chapter in their lives.
The Year 6 team would like to thank you for the lovely gifts and good wishes we have received.
Have a lovely break.
